Phrase of the week:

Zoe: "What doing Ma Mom?, What doing?"

This is the first thing out of her mouth in the morning, even before she is all the way awake. And it is usually the last thing I hear as she is drifting off to sleep.

Noah: "I'm like the neighbor."

Noah is really in to comparing things and he uses this because he doesn't have a shirt on and our neighbors often go shirtless.

Or - "Are we there yet?"

I credit his cousin Brianna with this one. He just hasn't quite learned how to use it appropriately. He often utters it before we are even completely out of our garage.

Summer Fun!

The other night I showed Noah how much fun it is to run through the sprinklers on a hot day. It took some convincing to get him on the lawn while the sprinklers were on, but it was much harder to get him to stop. Zoe wanted nothing to do with it.

There's also nothing like an Otter Pop. They both enjoyed them as you can tell from the pictures above.

Noah's "Baby"

Here's a picture of Noah with his baby. No, he doesn't have a name, it's just "Baby". He must go everywhere with us whether it is the grocery store, to church, or just on a neighborhood walk. He also has to sit at the dinner table with us, with his own plate and cup, luckily I don't have to fix him any food.

So, he has gone to nursery with Noah twice now and both Sundays he had to have his own chair during snack time. The first week he even got his own paper towel of snacks. Noah changes his diaper too and has even tried to feed him marshmallows. Zoe, tries to share her Sacrament meeting snacks with him.

The only thing "Baby" has missed out on, in the past several weeks is our trip to Disneyland. We were lucky enough to convince Noah that he was too little to go. So, he got to stay home with our kitty. Needless to say, this phase is driving his dad crazy, I keep telling him the less deal we make out of it, the faster this phase should pass.

One of his nursery leaders said, "how can we expect them to be good daddies if we don't let them play with dolls."

We're Home!

I decided to spend the time and finally update my blog. It's been a while and I have a lot of catching up to do.

I started with our recent road trip. Since that is probably the most exciting thing. We've been home for almost a week now and things are finally starting to get back to normal. If there is such a thing.

I hope you enjoy reading about our travels and looking at the pictures. Sorry, I went a little overboard on the slide shows.

Highlights from our recent road trip!

Here are some non Disneyland photos from our recent road trip.

Disneyland!

I think Noah's favorite ride was the Tea Cups (he went on it twice). He also liked the idea that he could drive a car, ride on a train, see a castle, see a dragon, and fly an elephant and a rocket. I guess it is pretty safe to say that he loved it all. And according to him "maybe tomorrow I go to Disneyland."

Zoe loved most of it too, although she did sleep through a good chunk of it. I think her favorite things were the Playhouse Disney show and seeing Tinkerbell and Cinderella all over. I think her least favorite thing is a toss up between the Haunted House ride and the Peter Pan ride. She didn't like the dark.

My favorite part was the corn dogs from Corn Dog Castle, they were as good as I remembered. For those of you who remember Dan and I honeymooned in Disneyland. It was fun to see what has changed in the past 5 years. I also loved the parades and was pretty shocked at how brave my kids were. I have to say our princess pictures are priceless, they show the true Noah. I was also glad that we didn't lose anyone and that we managed not to become one of the many screaming parents, telling their kids how much this is costing them and that they better get happy.

I'm not sure what Dan's favorite part was, I'll have to ask him and add it later. I know he enjoyed taking Noah on the Tea Cups and going to the Tiki room. I think he was also really happy that the It's a Small World ride was closed and he was spared from going on it. But, it will be interesting to see what he names as his favorite.

All in all we had a fun time.

Here are some pictures from the "Happiest" and sometimes not so "Happiest Place on Earth."

Meeting the Characters at Disneyland!

Noah's Papa Mike got him an autograph/photo book as a souvenir of his Disneyland trip. Notice how thrilled Noah is with meeting the characters - especially the princesses.
