We're off to Grandma's house!

We are on our way to Grandma's house to see: Grandma, Papa, Trenity, Chelsea, and Chocolate Granny Milkshake.

A mini family vacation - I'm sure we will hear Noah's favorite phrase about a million times, "Does Daddy have to work tomorrow?" And we will have to reassure him that Daddy gets to stay home 5 times with Noah.

The kids get to play with cousins and be spoiled by Granny who will make them milkshakes any time they ask.

Dan and I get to spend our first night away with out the kids, an early anniversary treat. Can you believe it's already been 5 years?

We will round up the week seeing the Wiggles Live at Arco Arena in Sacramento. Noah's favorite group.

It should be a fun filled week.

Do you need any help with your household chores? I have two very willing and eager helpers I'd be willing to hire out for the afternoon. They both love unloading the dishwasher, however only one cooperated for this photo shoot. It doesn't matter if the dishes are clean or dirty. They love an empty dishwasher. On a positive note they are getting better at remembering where things go. You just may have to rewash a dish or two. Unless sucking on them or playing on the floor with them don't bother you.

Or do you need help with the laundry? Noah is very good at this task. He can load and unload the washer and dryer. He even knows how to turn them on and off. He can even tell you whose clothes they are. We are still working on folding and putting the clothes away. So, you must be willing to do a ton of refolding.

I wonder if they will be this anxious to help out when they can do it on their own? Probably not, I guess I should be thankfull for the help and the progress they make each day with these tasks. They manage to keep things interesting.

How Many????

For those of you who remember all of our weight troubles with Noah. Here is "Failure to Thrive" part two. At her 1 year check up she only weighed 16 lbs 6 oz, so she isn't on the growth chart. She didn't gain any weight between her 9 month and year check up. Which surprised me. I don't know if you can tell from this picture of not, but this girl loves to eat. She can't shovel it into her mouth fast enough. She's like a human food vacuum, I think she is worried about not getting enough, so she packs her checks and doesn't bother swollowing. Or she's trying to become a champion at playing the "Chubby Bunny" game. In this picture it is Apple Jacks - a total of 12. Other cases have included goldfish crackers - I stopped counting at 17. How about cheez-it crackers? At least 10 before she spit them all over Dan's suit during church. Plus, one ritz cracker isn't enough, she needs at least one for each hand, plus one in her mouth. She will eat a container of yogurt, or a package of oatmeal and then cry when it's all gone. I'll feed her breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and then she'll want to eat what I'm having. I've never seen a little thing eat so much. Or get so excited about food. And believe me she is not quiet about it. There are even very few things she refuses to eat. The funny thing is she 's only got four teeth to chew it with. Needless to say, I'm beginning to think doctor's don't know what they are talking about and worry too much about weight. To me she is a perfectly, healthy, almost 14 month old little girl. They should be glad she is underweight and not overweight. I've been power packing or calorie packing all of her food and I have even stopped nursing her, per doctor's instruction, in hopes that when we take her in next month she will have put on a few pounds, so we are spared all the testing and monthly weight checks. It gets soo expensive, even with insurance the copays add up quickly.

Welcome to our Blog!!

Inspired by friends and family we are finally bringing ourselves into the blogging age. As we have been bad at keeping in touch with many of you here is a brief update:



We are living in Fernley, Nevada, a small rural community just outside of Reno. Dan is working at Progressive in the Reno Claims Office, Shauna is hard at work keeping Noah and Zoe from killing each other, going to the neighborhood park, and to their weekly music class.



For those of you who watch the news our home luckily was about a quarter mile away from the levee break that flooded our town. Fernley is recovering nicely and we are enjoying the recent addition of several new businesses like Lowe's, Super Wal-mart, etc.
