Home Sweet Home

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in our house on the 4th of July. It's hard to believe we've been in Fernley, Nevada for a whole year now. It's been full of big adjustments and really hard to get used to, but it is finally starting to feel like home.

We still miss all our Utah friends a lot, and look forward to our visit out there this September.

Family Fun

Here's our latest family outing. The kids were finally over the stomach bug that dragged on and on (over a week), so we took them to have some fun in the sun. Dan found this cool splash park in the Spanish Springs area.

Noah had a blast, he loves the random streams and bucket drops of water.

Zoe wasn't too sure about some of the water features, she prefers the steady stream of water. We are trying hard to get her over her fear of sprinklers.

After playing in the water we went next door to the regular park to dry off.

Noah can't wait to go back, he asks every morning if he can go to the water slides.

Bye Bye Highchair!

Zoe's finally joined us at the table. We've moved her from her highchair to a booster chair at the dinner table with us. She had a lot of fun her first meal. I think their was more playing than eating going on. She was so excited about her spoon and to be at the table. I got a lot of high fives, I love yous, and kisses.

She's getting so big! And boy does she love eating.

Sleeping..

I only wish this was real.......They love to pretend they are sleeping, in their own bed, all on their own. Too bad this doesn't really happen too much at our house.

The Reading Rainbow...

We've finally unpacked our books and put them on our bookshelves in our family room. The kids have really enjoyed reading and reading and reading. Especially this past week where they were both sick with a stomach bug. As you can tell they like reading more than they like getting their picture taken.
Noah will even take the time to read to Zoe. One funny thing though...did you know that books in our house don't end with the words "the end"? In our house all books end with "amen".

Wishful Thinking

As you can tell, our little Zoe is still pretty bald for her age (almost 18 months).

We are starting to get hopeful as we are seeing some signs of hair growth.

She finally has some curls in the back and a long spot on top.

Dan thought it would be fun to put a barret in he hair for church.

But, of course it's not quite thick enough to hold one.
