By Myself....

Zoe's new motto is: "I can do it by myself!" I know, very typical for a toddler, yet very frustrating for a parent. This is her response to most anything these days. Sometimes I really love it as it frees me up to do other stuff - at other times I find it very frustrating as it takes her forever to accomplish the smallest tasks. I know it is all part of the growing and learning process and have learned to factor it into my daily routine.

The other day she decided she wanted to shower by herself. I guess she had gotten locked out of the bedroom while others showered and insisted she got a turn too. Don't worry we were right there and supervised the whole thing...
Here she is being an artist. I have to make sure to put all the paper, pens, and crayons up or this is what I find. Luckily, most of the time she colors on paper - however, once in a while she likes to try her talent out on furniture.....Other by myself things include: getting dressed, or undressed. Putting on her shoes; surprisingly she gets them on the right feet most of the time. Getting her own snacks, getting in and out of the car, and climbing into her booster seat at mealtimes. My favorite is picking up the toys or her dirty clothes.
