We read a story about a moth named Oscar who thought he was a butterfly - and then we made these beautiful butterflies. Mine is the blue one, Zoe's is the pink one, and Noah's is the purple one. That week we also read a book about an alligator Guigi who thought he was a duck. We made cute little ducks that are now hanging in Daddy's cubicle at work.

More Adventures at the Library
Here is a glimpse at our story time activities from the past several weeks.
We read "A Pocket for Corduroy" and made these cute bears. After story time we found a Corduroy movie to take home and watch.
This past week we had an Easter themed story time. We read "Twas the Night Before Easter," and "The Grumpy Bunny." We made several crafts this week - the first were Easter Bags for the big Easter Egg Hunt.
Here are some shots of the kids gathering four eggs each. As you can see the easy thing was finding the eggs - they were just put on the lawn in front of the library - the hard thing was limiting it to four eggs a piece. I kept hearing "but I don't have a blue one," or "I don't have a purple one."

"Cheese!"
