We had a unique experience last week. We both had the opportunity to do one on one activities with our children, not just once but twice. The Boys had fun together and the Girls had fun together. The girls had the camera on the first night - the boys took it on the second night. Here are some highlights from our adventures.
-...Girls!
I was trying to think of something fun and memorable to do with Zoe, since Noah would be going to the ballpark two nights in a row. Our first adventure ended up being Chuck E Cheese. The kids had so much fun when we went in Sacrament, that I thought I'd try it in Reno. It was so much less stressful and more fun with just one child. I loved that she still thinks it was fun to go: "without my brother or dad!" We hit sharks, caught apples, rode with Bob the Builder, and shot water, just to name a few activities. We even saw Chuck E Cheese...

After Chuck E Cheese we went shopping at Target. Zoe picked out a ton of things that she "very needed" or "very wanted." I got it narrowed down to a new swim suit (shown in our memorial day post). We also picked out a Birthday Card for Trenity. She did such a good job that a complete stranger asked her opinion on what card they should get. On the way home we had dinner at the "Taco Bell Store" at her request. Another fun thing "without my Noah!"

On night #2 we enjoyed a quick dinner with the boys before heading off to the Dollar Store. On the way back home we stopped at Target to return a few items and then enjoyed a yummy ice cream cone at Steve's Homemade Ice Cream shop. Zoe got so into her ice cream that a lot of people stopped to ask her if it was good. Her reply was: "I get Ice Cream without my brother!"...Boys!
The boys spent two nights at the Ball Park, Noah kept asking, "Mom why are you jealous?"

Night #1 was with Dan's work. Noah was so excited to get a hot dog at the game - but was disappointed with how it tasted. He really enjoyed the game and couldn't believe how much "daddy's work people sure love apple juice!" Little did he know it was actually beer, Dan thought he'd spare them the lecture on how Heavenly Father doesn't like us to drink beer. He also enjoyed sampling all of the yummy treats you can buy there, he had his favorites picked out for the next night's game.-
Night #2 was the ward's Father and Son outing. He was set on taking his baseball hat and his wallet so he could buy himself a pretzel. He was also hoping to get a picture with Archie (the team's mascot) but it never happened.

I love that about the apple juice! We've entered a bit fof that phase too where Dallin will blurt out that someone is smoking or who knows what else. That's great that you are doing swim lessons with the kids. Maybe I should see if I can get Dallin in there with them. I can imagine it being a complete nightmare, but he does like water and maybe some familiar faces will help. I will have to remember to ask you more about it next time I see you!
Noah and Zoe have the funnest parents ever! I hope I remember to be fun and not always the mean mom. Seeing the pictures makes me miss you and your family.
