Dan had the opportunity to fly to Denver, CO the first weekend of June and meet more of his biological family. This trip was to meet the Taylor branch of his Family Tree which consists of his Father Kyle and his wife Mona, his older sister Lori and her husband Rod, and his older brother Jim and his wife Jackie. He has felt a sense of urgency to meet Kyle ever since Annette passed away suddenly and was finally able to make it happen. He was relieved to be able to fill in the missing pieces from all of the stories he has been told so far. He was surprised to discover that he had so many things in common with all of them. He even came home saying that he'd want to hang out with them and be friends with them, even if they weren't related. I was just glad they finally convinced him to get a physical (something I've been trying to do for 2 years now) by sharing family medical history.
We wish we lived closer as they are all so talented and could help us get a lot of our dream projects done around our house. Here are some of the pictures he took:
L to R: Dan, Lori, Rod, Jackie, and Jim

L to R: Rod, Lori, Dan, Kyle, Jackie, and Jim

L to R: Dan, Mona, and Kyle

The whole family. L to R: Jim, Jackie, Mona, Kyle, Lori, Rod (in back), and Dan

Dan got to drive his Dad's fancy sports car while he was there.

He had a lot of fun discussing this one with Noah and all the reasons it is not safe.

Can't forget a picture of Allie.

Dan spent a whole day with Mona and Lori and they took him to the botanical gardens.

The kids and I can't wait to meet Kyle and Mona when they come visit after Jack's arrival. If we are lucky Auntie Lori might even be able to tag along.
