Let's Go See a Movie!

Our second day got off to kind of a slow start - to be expected after the late night we had before. Day 2 wasn't as actioned packed as day 1 - we decided to slow things down. Daddy, Uncle Cameron, Noah, and Zoe went and played at the bowling alley and the neighborhood park. Mommy got to go to Walmart all by herself - she even got to enjoy a whole drink without sharing with anyone. It was so fun - I almost didn't know what to do with myself. The purpose of my Walmart trip was in order to get snacks for our activity planned for that evening.

We decided to check out the Drive-In Movie Theater in Sparks. We saw a double feature consisting of "Aliens in the Attic" and "Transformers 2". It was a great family activity and a good way to view movies at a discount since you can take your own food and drinks, our kids are free, you don't have to worry about your kids being too noisy or restless, and the admission is reduced compared to your typical movie theater. Tuesday is even cheaper as it is considered family night. Just make sure you take cash as they are one of the few remaining cash only places still in operation.

Here are some pictures of us trying to get everything set up. We sure enjoyed having a van for this activity.
The kids had a blast climbing in and out and around the back of the van and eating all the junk that I brought. Both kids stayed awake during the first movie and quickly crashed after 5 minutes of the second movie. Noah woke up briefly as we were exiting the Drive In and thought we were leaving early as he hadn't watched "Transformers" yet. We had to assure him that he actually had slept through the movie and it was time to go home. We can't wait to go again!

How fun! The closest drive in to us is about 45 minutes away, but once the kiddos get a little older, we will definitely be drive-in movie fans!
