Family Traditions and General Conference

My Dad would be proud of me for trying to carry out a much loved "Thueson Family" tradition of Cheese Waffles on General Conference Sunday. We'd usually invite a few families over to watch conference on the big screen which also included breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, and sometimes dinner. My Dad would always introduce these to our unsuspecting guests - they were kind of put off by the sound of the combination, but usually everyone who ate them loved them. I'm not sure who first thought up the idea of Cheese Waffles, but they have become a fun breakfast on special occasions as we often looked forward to seeing my Dad work in the kitchen.

Here are some pictures from our adventure - please ignore the Pj's and bad hair. The pictures were an afterthought when I realized that both kids had put on aprons (just like me) and were watching my every move.

A funny thing from General Conference

The Prophet was speaking and I asked Noah if he knew who it was and this is how the rest of the conversation went...
Me: Noah who is that?
-
Noah: I don't know.
-
Zoe: That's the Prophet.
-
Me: That's right...Do you know his name?
-
Zoe: Joseph Smith
-
Me: No, do you know Noah?
-
Noah: No...
-
Me: That's Thomas..
-
Zoe: (interrupting me) No, Thomas is a train!
