Does this look like a sick baby to you?

I finally took Jack into the doctor after he had a horrible cough for over two weeks. He never really had a fever and was his happy self through the whole thing. However his cough kept sounding worse and I noticed that his chest was really pulling when he breathed. We were also having a few feeding issues and I had a nagging feeling that it was more than just a cold. I ended up being right. He was diagnosed with bronchitis and he even had a few chest x-rays to make sure it wasn't pneumonia. The X-rays were a big event. I had to figure out a way to balance him with out having my hands in the way. Remember that he is just about 3 months old and can't hold up his big head all that well, let alone sit up unassisted. At one point his body slipped out from underneath him. I was so relieved I didn't drop him. I'm really thankful that the X-ray tech had a friendly receptionist willing to help me out. Between the two of us we managed to get good shots on the first try. I was really relieved that the X-ray was negative for pneumonia. He went on a round a Z-pack, which didn't clear it up. He had to have a second round of antibiotics, amoxicillin, to finally do the trick. At this appointment he weighed in at 9 lbs. 6 oz.
I too had a little medical issue going on. I endured my first bout of Mastitis. Let me just say, it hurt way worse than any of my C-Sections. I was so glad to get it taken care of at the same time. The blessing of seeing a Family Practitioner.
This made for a rough week, for me. I ended up locking myself in my bedroom one night after a particular hard day with my children. I am so thankful for a loving and understanding husband, who made me dinner and kept the kids busy while I took a much needed time out.
Santa's newest reindeer Jackson...

Thank you Grandma Mona and Papa Kyle for the antlers.
