Pumpkin Pie

We said goodbye to our big fat cat. He passed away after suffering from a urinary tract infection. Even with medication he didn't recover as he refused to eat or drink. It's one of those mixed blessings thing, he was having a hard time adjusting to life with a baby in the house and Jack was showing signs of being allergic to him. It took the kids a few days to realize it was a permanent thing, but since then they have taken it really well. I think it helps that they believe in heaven and have a knowledge of the resurrection and eternal life. The only problem is they don't understand that it isn't an immediate thing and it will take some time until Pumpkin Pie "comes alive again".

Now they are trying their hardest to talk us into a new pet. I'm thinking fish this time around.

I am so sorry. Kysha lets me know every time we come to your house that "they don't have a cat no more. It died."
