Noah's Holiday Concert

Noah had been practicing for this day since the school year began. Every week after music class he would come home and share what he had learned. He practiced everyday and even taught his sister the songs. As the concert got closer he started sharing the hand motions that went with them. The day of the concert he described everything in detail, from their entrance into the auditorium to the order of their songs. He even shared how they would exit when it was done. He did a pretty good job as the evening went according to his description. The concert included: Deck the Halls, Rudolph the Red Noses Reindeer, Feliz Navidad, Hanuka, and Jingle Bells.

The kids filing into the gym single file with arms behind their back...Mrs. Hoover's morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes on the right, Mrs. Rodriguiz's classes on the left. Mrs. Causey, the music teacher in the middle and Mr. Huckaby announcing the line up.A closer look. Can you spot Noah? He's in the middle of the 2nd row, wearing a white shirt and red tie.It was one of the best school performances I've seen and the gym was packed to capacity. He was so proud that Grandma Sandi was able to attend this special event.

The Gingerbread Man....

As part of the holiday celebration, Noah's class read the story about the Gingerbread Man. They also made and decorated their own Gingerbread Man Cookies. I was unable to attend this 2 day event, due to a lack of notice and a sick baby. I'm so glad my friend Jalyssa was able attend and sent a few pictures my way.

Noah and Erik sitting on the squares awaiting instructions and listening to the story....
Making a Gingerbread Crown...The finished project, his cutting skills keep getting better...Rolling out the dough and cutting out his cookie...Decorating his cookie...Carrying it to the oven...After a search around the school to find them they added the icing. I guess somebody opened the oven and they all escaped, just like in the story...Enjoying his cookie...
