Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

Thanks to some free passes that my parents and nieces had we were able to take the kids to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, Ca. As I mentioned in the previous post - Zoe and I didn't have the best night leading to this trip, but she seemed fine in the morning so we stuck to the original plan. She was fine for the first half of the trip - she went on a couple of rides in the Thomas Train area, then fell asleep right before the whale show. From there on it was down hill for her - she started running a fever and proceeded to sleep most of the remaining time in Papa's arms or in the stroller. I searched all over the park for children's Tylenol - and never found it - I found a lot of other interesting medications and all sorts of Tylenol and ibuprofen for adults - but nothing for kids...did they forget it was a family park? Luckily there was some out in our car, that Dan went out and retrieved. Once we finally got her fever to break a little she enjoyed a few more rides and then had a miserable trip home. The next morning we found the culprit to be an ear infection.

So on to the more positive aspects of our trip. Unfortunately we weren't the best about taking pictures - too worried about the camera getting wet, and preoccupied with a sick child.

Noah isn't very happy with Shouka the Killer Whale for several reasons. First off she is a girl and not a boy - he wanted a boy killer whale. Second, she splashed him on purpose. He really doesn't get that it was part of the show and that he was warned in advance that he would get wet. But we didn't just get wet we got drenched.

Noah was happy that the dolphins were boys - it kind of made up for the shouka being a girl. We won the Family Sky box seat for this show and got to sit on a very comfy couch with out anyone sitting in front of us. We also got a nice bag full of Kyocera Cell Phone accessories including a blue tooth headset.

Noah enjoyed the tiger show - I missed it (see story above).

We ended the day with Dan taking Trenity on the bigger rides and the rest of us hanging out in Loony Toon Town. Noah was so excited to go on the rides and got to go on several of them with Papa Tim as he wasn't tall enough to go by himself - next year he shouldn't have any problems. All in all it was a very fun trip.
